Discussion and questions
EveryonePlans includes a discussion and Q&A surface for the people in an organization, so questions get answered once and the answer stays findable — instead of being asked again every few months in a chat thread nobody can search.
01THE PROBLEM
Why this is worth having
Group chat is where organizational knowledge goes to die. The answer to "how do we book the hall" has been given eleven times, and the twelfth person will still ask, because a chat log is a river rather than a record.
02HOW IT WORKS
The mechanism
- A question is a record with an answer attached, so it can be found later by somebody who was not there.
- Discussion is permissioned like everything else — some boards for everybody, some for the committee.
- It sits next to the records it is about, so a question about an event is attached to that event rather than floating.
- Polls and surveys handle the cases where you need a decision rather than a discussion.

What it looks like.

REAL SCREEN CAPTURE, NOT GENERATED. A board with several answered questions, one pinned, and a poll with results showing. Capture at 1600x900 with believable seeded data — real-looking names, dates within the next two weeks, non-round money amounts — and blur anything identifying a real customer.

The question that stops being asked
- Somebody asks how the hall gets booked.
- It is answered once, on the record.
- The next person searches and finds it.
- It stops being a question the committee answers by hand.
